Or spend an extra minute or two in posting your pics and it costs nothing. How many pics actually get posted here anyway? When I posted all the pics of my roofing project it was one extra step for each pic, but the hosting service I used resized them for me (eliminating a step I would have had to take) and it didn't cost Jon, me, or anyone else here a dime. I'm all about saving the Benjamins, baby!

I vote we open up Greg's laptop hard drive now and test out the hosting pics from his house! He's always got em logged in for EQ anyway, what's the harm in benefiting the rest of us on top of it?

ImageShack - You can set up a profile, I guess, and have future access to the pics you upload. I didn't bother since I was only interested in hosting them once and posting them here. It's great and takes two seconds to upload and post a pic you want throw on a msg board somewhere. You can pick from a bunch of different sizes, the default being 640x480 - perfect for msg boards. Did I mention it's free?

ya, but thsoe sites are company sites. sometimes they use your pics elsewhere, etc etc.

with them on a drive local and only accessible by us, i know my pics wont get distributed, or looked upon by outsiders.

If I didn't want them viewed by people on the internet I wouldn't be putting them on the internet. If they want to distribute a pic of a bunch of men on a roof I'm not going to stop them. I guess I'm just not that paranoid...

OK, going back several replies, where are you buying a 500gig external hard drive for $99? Except for the black friday sales, I haven't seen any that cheap.

Looks like you can get em for $105 at newegg and $109 at tigerdirect...or wait a few days and they might be doing some biggie after holiday sales...poor compusa, I never even checked them again!

It is pretty funny...and fits with the whole greasy meatball thing... I too say who needs pics seems like a pain in the ass and if someone really wants to post a pic those competant enough know how to do it
