Well, I fell asleep waiting for Luc to come help me convert these forums! When I woke up, I decided to give it a stab! After working through a few threads to help me troubleshoot my problems, I came across one that said to set Ezboard to default. That did not resolve my problem and I did not have a back up of the old theme, so this is how we will look for the next little bit until I can work through the forum migration!

Anyone else having this problem?

When I log in, I show up as a registered user logged in but I can only see the two forums that you can see when your not logged in.

If I log in again I'm good. Just getting old having to log in twice :)

Two solutions:

Dumb Solution: Before you login, delte the two cookies for "legionofvengeance.org" from your cookie folder. Then when you login, it works perfectly.

My Favorite Solution: Go to http://www.getfirefox.com/ and install it. It has resolved more of my issues with Internet Explorer than I've noticed it cause.

The issue seems to happen to me on machines running windows NT, 2000 or XP. I have no clue why, but it stopped when I switched to Firefox. :nerd

Yes, firefox has made me a happy internet user once again. The only annoying thing I can think of at the moment about firefox is how close the cursor sits to the last letter you typed in a text box.

I agree, that can be a bit unnerving... also, if you choose to have it memorize your password on a website and then let's say you go into the person's user account to change their title or make them a moderator or something, it sees "Username" and "Password" and replaces them with your memorized ones. I have to use explorer to do any of that stuff since I'm too lazy to type the id's myself.

Since it's been a secret up until now, the easiest solution I've found to overcome the time problem is to click on your profile link up above and change your timezone to GMT -4 instead of -5. When I do it at the message board level it doesn't work, but it does in your profile. Good luck!

Uhm...the double login thing is fixed...I'd like to say the last few years of having this issue are a problem with Microsoft putting the man down...but it also could have been a config issue with my site cookies here...you take your pick, but please let me know if anyone still has to login twice and loses their unread messages. Thanks! :duh2

And on a side note, with the hour change, the servers are back in sync with our timezone if you want to change your profile back to GMT -5 8)

Out of guilt over screwing up the cookies (ok, i found a new toy and took it for a test drive), I've updated a bunch of the board features. A lot of it should be invisible, please lemme know if you find anything broken. The most obvious change is you have to be logged in to see the memberlist now.

It's the thought that counts! :P

Note I said "should be" invisible...if I don't tell you about it, then Murphy would say the boards crashing...
