Can you modify the amount of time that you're allowed to edit posts? On another board I'm on you're allowed to edit up to two minutes after posting without the "Edited by blah blah blah" showing up (this feature is so that you can catch typos) and from minute two to minute thirty you're allowed to edit with the "Edited by blah blah blah" showing up at the bottom. After half an hour your post is set in stone. No editting.

It's kind of nice in that you can read a big long thread with all of the original text intact. It kind of removes the opportunity to say whatever you want because you can't just go back and delete it all. It's not-so-nice in that, for example, with a "For Sale" posting the author can't go back and remove items that have been sold.

I don't know if this software has that capability or if you have the ability to change it, but I thought it might be worthy of consideration.

I flipped through the settings for the board in general and the individual forums and didn't really see anything that pertains to editing. I haven't ever had an experience with any of the ezboards I've been to that has prevented me from editing a post...I've edited some old ones in the past also. I guess at this point it is more of an etiquette thing not to edit more than spelling unless you say what you did.
I know I've seen in the past people have their "post edited" message tailored to what they did...not sure how they did it yet though.
