I think there is a delay of some sort - the two posts that i hadn't read were very new. If you are on the main page and click Mark All Forums Read, then it marks them all. If you are in a forum and click Mark Forum Read, then it marks everything in that forum read. Sadly, having messages you've read marked as such isn't a possibility at this point.
