ok, the General Room topic (General Discussion, Back Room, etc) turnes orange, but when I go in there, none of the new ones are orange.

That may be a result of the name server change. It thinks there are new posts, but there aren't really. Does it go away after you go in? Maybe look at the top couple threads to reset it? If that doesn't help, yell some more!
