I guy at work said that two dealers told him:

If the car has a % oil life gauge then you don't need to change it until it is well below 10%. Don't worry about the miles so much.

The oil life monitors are pretty accurate at this point. They track most of the things that affect oil quality. Most (all?) owners manuals will tell you to change the oil at the one year point and reset the monitor even if it hasn't indicated that it's due to be changed.

I've found in Jodi's Toyota (which I keep track of time and mileage) that the maintenance reminder is very accurate. That doesn't have a % indicator, it just flashes a light when it's getting close and the light stays on all the time when it's time.

In short, I trust them, but I also double check their accuracy;)

Yes, your '12 Tundra is due for one. Go out in the garage, drain the transmission fluid, add oil to the engine until there's too much, and then just drive it for a while. It'll be fine. A wise man once told me that's the best practice...

That's only with Saturns...that's why the transmission fluid lobby shut them down!
